Privacy Policy

TVPlay UK • Last updated: 14 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how TVPlay UK (“TVPlay”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit tvplay.uk, request a free pass, buy a pass or contact our support team. We process personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who is responsible for your data

TVPlay UK is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Questions and requests about your data can be sent to [email protected].

2. Data we collect

  • Contact and order details: your name, email address, phone number, postcode, country, the pass you selected and your order history.
  • Payment information: the amount, date and status of your payment. Payment is arranged after checkout through a secure link sent to you; full card numbers are not stored on this website.
  • Technical information: your IP address, browser type, device type and the date and time of your visit or order.
  • Support conversations: messages you send us by email or WhatsApp, including any device details you share so that we can help you.
  • Service records: the technical records needed to run your pass, such as the status of your login, its expiry date and the number of connections in use.

3. Why we use it and our lawful basis

  • To provide the service (performance of a contract): creating and delivering your login, sending setup instructions and answering support requests.
  • To take payment and keep accounts (contract and legal obligation): processing payments and keeping the records HMRC requires.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse (legitimate interests): when a free pass is requested we check the IP address for VPN, proxy or data-centre use, check whether the email address is disposable, and compare the request, phone number and postcode against earlier requests and orders.
  • To keep the website secure and working (legitimate interests).
  • To send service messages such as an expiry reminder (contract). Marketing messages are sent only with your consent or where the law otherwise allows, and every one includes an unsubscribe link.

4. Streaming activity

We do not sell personal data and we do not use what you watch to build advertising profiles. Limited technical records, such as connection times and IP addresses, are processed to keep the service stable, to troubleshoot problems you report and to prevent account sharing. These records are kept for a limited period and are not shared with advertisers.

5. Cookies

This website uses cookies that are necessary for the basket, checkout and security features to work, and to remember your preferences. If we introduce analytics or advertising cookies we will describe them here and ask for your consent first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the checkout may then stop working.

6. Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers that help us run TVPlay, and only to the extent they need it: website hosting, transactional email delivery, payment processing, fraud-prevention lookups and messaging through WhatsApp. We may also disclose data where the law requires it. Some providers process data outside the UK, including in the European Economic Area and the United States; where they do, we rely on adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

7. How we protect it

All pages of this website are served over encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to fulfil orders and provide support, and administrative accounts are protected with authentication controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the Information Commissioner's Office of a breach where the law requires it.

8. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Order and payment records are normally kept for six years for tax purposes. Free-pass requests that do not become orders are kept for a limited time to prevent abuse. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.

9. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask whether we hold personal data about you and request a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete data we no longer need;
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, processing based on legitimate interests;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • receive the data you gave us in a portable format.

To make a request, email [email protected] from the address you used with us. We respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

10. Children

TVPlay is intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our service or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised, and significant changes will be highlighted on this website.
